![]() ![]() ![]() Prior to joining Cigna as a Medical Director in 2017, Dr. Wascher retired from active military service in 2006, and became the founding director of the Division of Surgical Oncology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, while serving on the faculty at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Wascher returned to TAMC as the Chief of Surgical Oncology, while serving on the academic faculty at the University of Hawaii’s Cancer Research Center and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.įollowing a 30-year career in the US Army, Dr. Following a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the John Wayne Cancer Institute, Dr. ![]() He then served as a staff surgeon, the founding director of the hospital’s cancer program, and Chief of General Surgery at Darnall Army Hospital.
